I live here in Beautiful Charleston! What exactly are you interested in…there is alot of historical sites to see. I would suggest touring downtown and the the Battery, walking waterfront park. Near waterfronf park you can see the aquarium and take a ferry boat to fort sumter where the first shots of the civil war rang out. E-mail me if you have any questions! Have a great time!

I used to live near Charleston, SC. Definately, go to downtown Charleston very historic. I love the brick/stone roads they still have there. They have little shops, resturants and locals selling things they have made. Its great. Go to Mt. Pleasant too if you can, farther away but nice little town. More modernized. They also have the Citdal Mall around there. Depends on how long you are going to be there too. I highly recommend historical downtown charleston. Have fun. Hope this helps.

My wife and I loved Charleston! Take a boat trip out to Fort Sumter, walk around the battery, stroll through the shops down around the old market,……my wife and I bought a painting in Charleston that is the highlight of our living room!

There are Carriage Tours that you can take during the day on horse drawn carriages of the historical downtown area.

The USS Yorktown is located just across the river which is open to the public with tours.

Boone Hall, Magnolia Gardens and Middleton Gardens (seen in the movie The Patriot with Mel Gibson) are open daily where you can walk through the gardens or tour the houses.

Downtown there are also late evening and night ghost walks. If you do this, I would suggest a tour with the Old Jail during it.
